Our furry friends mean the world to us. It’s no wonder our hearts break when we see animals in distress. Whether they’re strays or pets, no cat should suffer. Thanks to rescuers, many lives are spared, and we are very grateful for that. However, not all animal rescues are easy or routine. Take this story for instance. A cat found herself stuck in a grated section of a 20-story building. Cats are known to wedge themselves in tight places, but this one is for the books! Now, it was time for the rescuers to get to work!
The architect who designed this building did not imagine his work would become a hazard to cats, but it certainly did. When a Tuxedo kitty was making her way across the structure, the unthinkable happened. She became stuck, pinned to the building, and exposed to the elements. The tight space possibly obstructed her breathing as well.
By the time rescuers arrived, she had been pinned to the building for 12 hours. Rescuers from Blue Cross Of India raced over, knowing the urgency. Equipped with ropes and tools, the rescuers knew there was only one way to get to her. They had to go through the terrace above.
Once one of the rescuers was lowered down and reached her, she became startled and tried to get away. But moving her body was difficult. She then turned around, realizing the man was trying to help. The team shouted from below, “Take off the gloves,” urging the man to take the cat into his hands. He did as he was told and grabbed the cat by the scruff of her neck.
He pulled her toward him while dangling from the terrace above. Soon, the cat was in his arms. The man put her inside a net so she could be hoisted up. And just as if fate intervened at the exact right moment, the skies opened up, and it began to pour.

According to the video below, the cat was safely put into a vehicle and brought home. We are so relieved to know the kitty is safe and sound! Please let this story be a lesson: if you are going to allow your cat to go outdoors, keep an eye on them. Their natural curiosity and agility can get them into heaps of trouble.
