- Ford is offering serious end-of-year discounts on two of America’s most popular electric vehicles.Â
- The Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning both qualify for 0% financing when purchased, or $3,000 additional bonus cash on top of the $7,500 tax credit when leased.Â
- The deals also include a free home charger plus installation.
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get into an electric vehicle, for a litany of reasons, now is probably the right time. End-of-year closeout deals are always good and now that the political winds may have shifted in a way that could end the EV tax credit, it’s as good a moment as any to make your move.
And it’s still hard to argue with two of America’s best-selling EVs: the Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning. One is a mega-popular electric crossover that’s only gotten better with age and both physical and software updates and the other is still, in my estimation, the best jack-of-all-trades electric pickup truck. And on Friday, Ford announced some of the best deals we’ve seen yet to get into either of them.Â

The deals are essentially the same for both cars but we’ll start with the Mach-E. Ford is offering 0% financing for 72 months for the crossover, a very sweet offer in the era of still-high interest rates. You also get $5,000 off the sticker price in “bonus cash,” plus a free home EV charger with installation costs covered.
That was part of a deal the automaker announced in September called the Ford Power Promise: Ford opted to start including home chargers with car purchases after its market research discovered the vast majority of potential buyers can charge at home, but didn’t know or where to start. If you do have access to a garage that can house a home charger, it’s generally cheaper and easier than most people think, and Ford is doing all the hard work for future buyers so they don’t have to rely on public fast charging to get around.Â
The “free home charger and installation” deal also applies when the Mach-E is leased and Ford has a solid deal there too. It’s offering an additional $3,000 in bonus cash on top of the $7,500 EV leasing tax credit for a total of $10,500 off the hood. (The Mach-E does not qualify for tax credits because its battery has components from China, and the credits are meant to incentivize moving away from dependency on that country.)Â

The Lightning gets a similar set of deals, although the $5,000 bonus cash and 0% financing applies only to the XLT and Platinum models. The same lease deals apply to all Lightning trucks, and whether you purchase it or finance it, you still get a home charger.Â
All in all, these are extremely good deals that should put at least one of these EVs on your potential shopping list. Or maybe even both? That’s a two-car garage that’s hard to argue with.Â
